Brentwood • The Skirball Cultural Center, features an extraordinary museum, changing exhibitions, engaging music, theater, comedy, film, family, and literary programs.

Downtown • Museum of Contemporary Art. (MOCA) Grand Avenue. The Museum houses abstract expressionist pieces to pop art to recent works by young artists. 5 to 8 PM

Downtown • Japanese American National Musem. In two locations, the museum looks at what it was to be Japanese through out the history of the United States.

Hollywood • Your chance to sit in the red carpet bleachers at the 84th Academy Awards. Get your Bleacher Seats! A random drawing to determine who will be sitting in the red carpet bleachers will be conducted online at www.oscars.org. All selections will be based upon the random drawing. Last year over 15,000 fans applied for only 700 hundred bleacher seats. These seats are highly coveted and limited in quantity. From 9 AM 9/12 until 9/18 at Midnight. But with only 700 seats.

Hollywood • comedy central stage. Tonights preformance, "SIT N' SPIN" Funny true tales from real live people. With Tanya McClure, Mishna Woolf, Nathaniel Boggess, Loretta Fox and Larry Dean Harris. Presented by Jill Soloway, Maggie Rowe and Andersen Gabrych.

Hollywood Neil Patrick Harris, "How I Met ypur Mother", Doogie HowserMD."  to recieve his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.

Huntington Beach • Oktoberfest. This year will bring on the oom-pah zing that fun-seeking party animals love. From German bands and sexy shot girls in dirndls to men in lederhosen dancing, this is not your normal event. So young and old get out on the dance floor to the Chicken Dance. Admission free 6:30PM -10PM.

 Pasadena • The Tournament of Roses House and Rose Garden. This Italian Renaissance-style mansion that was once owned by  cchewing-gum pioneer William Wrigley Jr. Open 2 to 4 PM.

San Bernardino • The 22th Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous. The largest cruise event on Route 66, 35 closed blocks downtown. For the last six years, the Route 66 Rendezvous® has drawn over 500,000 car enthusiasts and nearly nearly 1,900 classic vehicles, BMX Stunt Shows, live musical entertainment and Movies in the Park.
