Downtown • Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Grand Avenue. The Museum houses abstract expressionist pieces to pop art to recent works by young artists. 5 to 8 PM.

Downtown • Japanese American National Musem. In two locations, the museum looks at what it was to be Japanese through out the history of the United States.

Glendale Build-Your-Own Robot Party. Rolling Robots turns two today and you are invited to the party. Come check it out, loads of fun and free stuff too.

MacArthur Park  Summer Concert @ Levitt Pavilion. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinners, family and friends and enjoy acclaimed professional musicians and diverse performing artists. Tonight Orgone

Pasadena • The Tournament of Roses House and Rose Garden. This Italian Renaissance-style mansion that was once owned by chewing-gum pioneer William Wrigley Jr. Open 2 to 4 PM.

San Pedro • Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. 38 saltwater aquariums display Southern California sea creatures, including sharks, eels, octopi and crabs as they would appear in nature. Visitors can touch live animals in the tide pool "touch tank" and learn about the marine environment.

South Pasadena • Concert: South Pasadena Public Library. Two live performances tonight by Brasil Brazil ( Latin--Brazilian).

housand Oaks • Summer Nights Music at the Oaks. Tonights live performance by  Don't Stop Believ'n (Journey Tribute).

 UCLA • Hammer Museum. Occidental Petroleum Founder Armand Hammer left his collection of impressionist and Postimpressionist paintings, including work by Monet, Van Gogh and Pissarro to the museum.

Whittier  Concert: Amelia Mayberry Park. Two live performances tonight by The Hodads (Pop/Rock).
