East LA. • Latino Book & Family Festival. Arts & crafts, story-telling, music, Folklórico dancing, various exhibits, and traditional Mexican foods.

El Segundo Fall Into Autumn at Plaza Community Block Party, full of fun family things to do for free including old-fashioned hayrides, live music and a concert featuring So Cal’s classic rock band Poetic License, face painting and balloon twister for kids, and a caricature artist.

 Hollywood • Old Fire Station 27, is a completely restored facility, and represents what the station was like when it was in operation. Three apparatus bays are filled with equipment, some dating back to the early 1900s and not to be found anywhere else. In addition, artifacts and equipment of all types are on display, dating from the 1880s through the present day.

Huntington Park • 18th annual Teast of Mexico Festival. Include carnival rides, food and game booths, exhibits and displays by area businesses and free entertainment. Folklorico dance troupes and prominent Latino recording artists will be featured on two stages. Street festival is a free family health fair, a petting zoo, a children’s piñata making contest and two menudo cooking competitions.
