Garden Grove • Strawberry Festival. celebrating everything to do with the humble strawberry. Carnival rides, pageants, Strawberry Idol karaoke contest, Red-Head Roundup Contest, Berry Beautiful Baby Pageant, and, of course, a strawberry-themed parade on Saturday.

 

Hermosa Beach • Memorial Weekend Festival. Seaside arts and crafts festival with multiple entertainment stages and 270 vendor booths. There's also a kiddie carnival, petting zoo, Doggie Costume Contest and more.

 

Hollywood • The Dome Arclight Entertainment Center. Live performance by Gregg Young & the 2nd Street Steel Drum Band, performing Caribbean, Reggae, Soca, Jazz, Blues, Rock’N’Roll, and Movie Themes.


Hollywood • Old Fire Station 27, is a completely restored facility, and represents what the station was like when it was in operation. Three apparatus bays are filled with equipment, some dating back to the early 1900s and not to be found anywhere else. In addition, artifacts and equipment of all types are on display, dating from the 1880s through the present day.

 

Mount Washington • Autry National Center Southwest Museum of the American Indian, being the oldest museum in the city of Los Angeles, is now on "Limited Access" and will only be open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–5:00 pm. Admission is free to all visitors during reconstruction, renovation and conservation of the collection.

 

Northridge • Annual Valley Greek Festival. Enjoy a cultural experience for the entire family with live music, dancing, gourmet food, homemade pastries, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, a Greek market, and a variety of shopping boutiques.

 

Santa Fe Springs • Live preformance by some of the greates cover bands in the land. This week *****. It's cost a $1 to get in but go have fun and do some bargain hunting, you will save more then the buck and on NO sales tax.

Seal Beach • Red Car Museum inside an authentic Pacific Electric Right of Way. Car No. 1734 is a rare Pacific Electric tower car built in 1925.
