Garden Grove • Strawberry Festival. celebrating everything to do with the humble strawberry. Carnival rides, pageants, Strawberry Idol karaoke contest, Red-Head Roundup Contest, Berry Beautiful Baby Pageant, and, of course, a strawberry-themed parade on Saturday.

 

Hermosa Beach • Memorial Weekend Festival. Seaside arts and crafts festival with multiple entertainment stages and 270 vendor booths. There's also a kiddie carnival, petting zoo, Doggie Costume Contest and more.

 

Hollywood • The Dome Arclight Entertainment Center. Live performance by Gregg Young & the 2nd Street Steel Drum Band, performing Caribbean, Reggae, Soca, Jazz, Blues, Rock’N’Roll, and Movie Themes.

 

LA Farmers Market • with live music. Today's performance by Eddie Baytos & The Nervis Bros.


Long Beach • Museum of Latin American Art. MoLAA's mission is to educate the public about contemporary Latin American fine art (by artists who have lived and worked in Latin America since WWII) through the presentation of a significant permanent collection, dynamic exhibitions and related cultural and educational programs.


Long Beach • Long Beach Museum of Art. Beautiful sculpture gardens surrounding one hundred year old Craftsmen buildings overlooking the ocean. Exhibitions of American decorative arts, early 20th Century European art, California Modernism and contemporary art, including video. Educational programs for children and adults.

 

Pasadena Pacific Asia Museum. The gallery includes a traditional tatami mat area with an alcove (tokonoma), art and floral displays, and a rare 15th-century Buddhist temple ceiling. Paintings, prints, textiles, ceramics, lacquer wares and netsuke.
