Garden Grove • Strawberry Festival. celebrating everything to do with the humble strawberry. Carnival rides, pageants, Strawberry Idol karaoke contest, Red-Head Roundup Contest, Berry Beautiful Baby Pageant, and, of course, a strawberry-themed parade on Saturday.

Long Beach • Long Beach Museum of Art. Beautiful sculpture gardens surrounding one hundred year old Craftsmen buildings overlooking the ocean. Exhibitions of American decorative arts, early 20th Century European art, California Modernism and contemporary art, including video. Educational programs for children
and adults.

Mid-Wilshire Jazz at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Tonights live performance by: Vocalist Dwight Trible is a singer who combines the best of vocal virtuosity with musicianship and improvisational skills to the delight of audiences and musicians alike.

Pasadena Pacific Asia Museum. The gallery includes a traditional tatami mat area with an alcove (tokonoma), art and floral displays, and a rare 15th-century Buddhist temple ceiling. Paintings, prints, textiles, ceramics, lacquer wares and netsuke.

Pomona  • Mission Circuit Dog Show. Obiedience & Rally Outdoors On Grass more then 3,000 Dogs. I find free parking on the street but watch the signs. 

Pasadena Parson’s Nose Free Readers Theater. Reading of the One-Act Play: “She Stoops To Conquer”.
