Griffith Observatory • Public Star Party. The Los Angeles Astronomical Society joins the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers for a program that introduces families to the sun, moon, visible planets and other celestial objects using a variety of professional telescopes. 2 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

 

Hollywood • Old Fire Station 27, is a completely restored facility, and represents what the station was like when it was in operation. Three apparatus bays are filled with equipment, some dating back to the early 1900s and not to be found anywhere else. In addition, artifacts and equipment of all types are on display, dating from the 1880s through the present day.

 

Hollywood • Festival of one-act plays at the Actors Workout Studio. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend this special festival weekend. There will be a total of three performances.

 

Mont Washington • Autry National Center Southwest Museum of the American Indian, being the oldest museum in the city of Los Angeles, is now on "Limited Access" and will only be open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–5:00 pm. Admission is free to all visitors during reconstruction, renovation and conservation of the collection.

 

Mid-Wilshire • Heaven on Earth Holistic Living Center and Awareness Festival 2010! Come heal your body, fascinate your mind and soothe your soul! Healing sessions and free classes all day, film festival and mixer in the evening!

 

Pasadena • Pasadena Dumplings Festival will feature music, games, and a dumpling eating contest.
