Beverly Hills • The Playboy Jazz Festival will launch their popular free community concert series featuring Grammy nominee Bill Cunliffe and his Septet and Johnny Crawford and His Orchestra.


Burbank • European toy train exhibition. More then 200 toy trains from the 1930 & 40 on display.

 

Encino The Center for Folk Music: In Encino Park. Bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle, etc. and join in or just listen to the music.

 

Exposition Park • California African American Museum. So you think you can dance!!!!

 

Mid-Wilshire • Los Angeles County Museum of Art "LACMA". Free chamber music concert 6 PM in the Leo S. Bing Theather. Performing: Duo pianists Liam Viney and Anna Grinberg.

 

Monterey Park • 28th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The Festival will feature authentic Mexican food and performances by mariachi musicians, folklorico and Aztec dancers, and other talented entertainers.

 

Pasadena • PCC Flea Market. Over 450 vendors can be found there selling everything from high end antiques and collectibles to toys and tools to new, used and vintage clothing and used furniture. The prices are low, the lines are short and the vendors are friendly and helpful.

 

Santa Monica • Tango on the Street. Learn to Tango and non stop Tango.

 

Santa Monica Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and Classic Car Show in Santa Monica. Mariachis, a salsa band, folklorico dancers and children's crafts will share space with classic, vintage, muscle cars, low riders, trucks and specialty vehicles at this celebration at Virginia Park in Santa Monica.

 

Sierra Madre • 48th Annual Art Fair. A wide array of artists will display and sell their fine art as well as demonstrate their techniques. Additional highlights include live music, food court and kids activities.

 

SilverLake • Art/Craft & Vintage Fair. There will be local artists mixed in along with the best of vintage collectibles, vintage clothing, and retro furniture. Did we mention plants, succulents, a Tarot card reader, and a lady who does energy work on animals? What more could you ask for?

 

UCLA • 25th Anniversary PowWow. Traditional songs, dances, drumming and fabulous feather and leather costumes mix with workshops, dance contests and food tastings. Although the various dances and costumes are unique to each tribe, with the largest representative groups including the Sioux, Navajo, Cherokee, Camanchee and Pawnee, the unification of each tribe's traditions creates a Pan-Indian event.


Yorba Linda • Richard M. Nixon Library. Free concerts are held Sundays, except when otherwise noted, and are open to the public. Doors open at 1:15 p.m., and concerts begin at 2:00 p.m.
