Downtown • Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Grand Avenue. The Museum houses abstract expressionist pieces to pop art to recent works by young artists. 5 to 8 PM.

Downtown • Japanese American National Musem. In two locations, the museum looks at what it was to be Japanese through out the history of the United States. 

City Wide • " National Pancake Day" Free short stack of pancakes at IHOP.

Hollywood • Comedy Central Stage, Tonight preforming for you, "WHALE CAVE".  Matt Price (Men of a Certain Age, The Office) hosts a show about music. A funny show about music. The songs might not be funny, but Matt and his special guests will talk about the songs, and that will be funny. At least ideally.

San Pedro • Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. 38 saltwater aquariums display Southern California sea creatures, including sharks, eels, octopi and crabs as they would appear in nature. Visitors can touch live animals in the tide pool "touch tank" and learn about the marine environment.

 UCLA • Hammer Museum. Occidental Petroleum Founder Armand Hammer left his collection of impressionist and Postimpressionist paintings, including work by Monet, Van Gogh and Pissarro to the museum.
