Downtown • Japanese American National Musem. In two locations, the museum looks at what it was to be Japanese through out the history of the United States.

Hollywood • Star Studded Movie Premire today Sony Pictures' "Underworld: Awakening", Starring: Kate Beckinsale and Charles Dance. See the stars up close and personal. 

Hollywood • Comedy Central Stage, so you can put off all your responsibilities and spend January taking in a bunch of free comedy at Comedy Central Stage at The Hudson in Hollywood. Tonight, Start 2012 with a great "Sit n’ Spin" show. The world may end so it may be your last chance!! With Tom O’Connor, Wendy Wilkins, Cathryn Brockett, Loretta Fox, and a musical guest. Presented by Jill Soloway, Maggie Rowe and Andersen Gabrych.

Pasadena • The Tournament of Roses House and Rose Garden. This Italian Renaissance-style mansion that was once owned by chewing-gum pioneer William Wrigley Jr. Open 2 to 4 PM.

Venice Beach • Art Crawl, a monthly exploration of the area celebrating Venice Beach's unique art, music and poetry scene. Location centered north of Venice Boulevard, along the Boardwalk, Speedway and Pacific Avenues ending at Westminster Avenue. Takes place the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Free.
