Beverly Hills Graystone MansionLargest home built in Bevery Hills, a 1827 Tudor house 18 acre gardens picnices permited. Many movies and TV shows were filmed here. The gardens are open but there are no tours of the home at this time.

Brentwood • The Getty Center, large collection of art and a magnificent view of the city. There is a charge for parking.

Center City • Music Center Campus, the Music Center is home to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Center City • The Masonic Hall (416 N. Main Street) is one of the oldest temples of Freemasonry in Los Angeles (1858) and is still the meeting room of lodge no. 42. It's Italianate in style, and grand in history. It now houses a museum of Masonic memorabilia. . The single-story building with a wrought-iron balcony above is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance.

Center City • Olvera Street is the birthplace of the City of Los Angeles, colorful village features 27 historic buildings with a traditional Mexican style plaza area. Wander around the marketplace and shop for souvenirs including handcrafted Mexican wares typical of old Mexico.

Century City • American Land Museum. The Center for Land Use Interpretation is a research organization involved in exploring, examining, and understanding land and landscape issues. City of Industry • Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum, is a six-acre historic site in the City of Industry, California, that features the 1840s Workman House, the 1920s Temple family home.

Downtown • The City Market. As one of the oldest markets in the country, the City Market of Los Angeles was incorporated in April of 1909 and has been in continuous operation since that time.

Expostion Park • LAFD African-American Firefighter Museum. The museum exhibit displays a wide array of firefighting paraphernalia. We have vintage engines, including a 1940 Pirsch ladder truck and a 1890 hose wagon, uniforms from New York, LA County and LA City firefighters, badges, helmets, displays of African American Women firefighters, photographs, and other authentic firefighting artifacts from the fire service dating back to 1924.

Fairfax • The Los Angeles Musueum of the Holocasaust , within the Jewish Heritage Center. Photographs, diaries, artifacts and oral history of the Holocasaust.

Fairfax • Korean Cultural Center. Traitional and comtrmporary Korean Art, library holds more than 17,000 books, videotapes, DVDs, and CDs, in both English and Korean. Various cinematic screenings and performances.

Fullerton • Muckenthaler Cultural Center. The Italian Renaissance-style structure is reminiscent of buildings constructed for San Diego’s 1915 Exposition.

Griffith Park • The Travel Town Museum, in Griffith Park. A large collection of steam locmotives, old wagons a 1911 street car, a 1902 Pacific Electic Electra Car and a museum filled with every thing train and firefighting from 1869 to 1940. There is a fee to ride the modle train.

Hollywood Hills • The Hollywood Sign. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reach the Sign itself, which is located atop an undeveloped hillside, far from roads. And if you did manage to reach the area, you would discover that the Sign has been fenced in to keep out the curious, and that a new high-tech alarm system has recently been installed.

Hollywood Hills • Edmund D. Edelman Hollywood Bowl Museum. Interactive exhibits, musical instrments make sounds, film clips of movies filmed at the bowl and memorabilia. Picnic areas are open throughout the Hollywood Bowl. You may bring lunches and picnic following your visit.

Ingewood • Centinela Adobe. Birthplace of Inglewood. The oldest house in Centinela Valley. Built in 1834 by Ignacio Machado, it has been owned by a Civil War General, a Scottish Baronet and Daniel Freeman, founder of Inglewood, whose land office was relocated to the property. California State Historic Landmark 363. National Register.

LAX Imperial Terminal. Flight Path Learning Center and Museum. The Main Gallery includes models, photographs, uniforms and other artifacts highlighting the role of airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aerospace companies, and the airport in the history of Southern California.

Malibu • Getty Villa in Malibu, Roman -inspired architecture and gardens.

Malibu • Adamson House, is a showplace of Malibu historical artifacts. Completed in 1929 the Spanish-Moor revival residence features tile from the renowned Malibu Potteries and sits on a spectacular overlook of the Malibu Pier and Surfrider Beach. The adjacent Malibu Lagoon Museum allows visitors to walk through the history of the area from the days of the California Indian "Chumash" tribe, to the gentlemen ranchers, and finally to the birth of the surfing era.

Mt. Wilson • Mt. Wilson Observatory The observatory is open to visitors every day from 10 AM to 4 PM from the first weekend of April through the last weekend of November, weather permitting. San Pedro • The Marine Mammal Care Center at Fort Mac Arthur is a hospital for ill, injured and orphaned marine mammals. Our primary work is the treatment and release of rescued California sea lions, northern elephant seals, harbor seals and northern fur seals.

San Pedro • Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, 38 saltwater aquariums display Southern California sea creatures, including sharks, eels, octopi and crabs as they would appear in nature. Visitors can touch live animals in the tide pool "touch tank" and learn about the marine environment from modern, interactive exhibits,

San Pedro • FireBoat #2. The dramatic, award-winning building of Fire Station #112 was designed to shelter this national historic landmark while allowing for viewing by visitors. Commissioned in 1925, this classic fireboat is still a vital part of the L.A. Fire Department's fleet. The boat is 99 feet long with a 19 foot beam; its six four-stage pumps produce 10,200 gallons of water per minute.

San Pedro • Fort MacArthur Military Museum, features photos, drawings, exhibits and memorabilia of Fort MacArthur and Los Angeles Harbor defenses from 1920 through World War II.

San Pedro • Angels Gate Park and Cultural Center, the grassy cliffs of this 64-acre park are breathtaking. There is a children's play area, basketball court, soccer field, and recreation center. Korean Bell of Friendship and Bell Pavilion. And yes the historic lighthouse too.

Santa Anita • Santa Anita Park - morning workout. . See the horses work out starts at 5 AM until 10 AM so come early.

Santa Monica • The Santa Monica Pier and Pacific Park. Hearkens back to the granddaddy pier amusement park, Ferris wheel, a mild-mannered roller coaster, and 10 other rides, plus a high-tech arcade shoot-out. But anglers still head to the end to fish, and nostalgia buffs to view the photographic display of the pier's history. Admission is free but there is a fee for parking and for the rides and actraction.

Santa Monica • Camera Obscura, is the phenomenon of entering a dark room on a light day, making a small hole in a window covering and being able to view the outside world projected onto the wall.

Santa Monica • Bergamot Station. Once a train depot for the now-defunct Red Line trolley, this warehouse complex houses more than 30 art galleries and the Santa Monica Museum of Art. Converted into an art gallery enclave in the '90s, it now stands as L.A.'s most stylish cultural center, frequented by local artists, designers, collectors and tourists. The Samta Monica Museum of Art asks for a donation but the others are free.

San Marino • El Molino Viejo (The Old Mill) Built in 1816 by Indian labor supervised by Father Zalvidea of the San Gabriel Mission. It was built on a hillside at the convergence of Los Robles and Mill Canyons. It was Southern California's first water powered gristmill.

Sunland-Tujunga • Bolton Hall Historical Museum. Artifacts, photographs, documents and memorabilia of Sunland-Tujunga and the foothill area are displayed. They range historically from the village of the Indians we call the Gabrielenos through the Mission and Mexican land grant periods to the development of Sunland-Tujunga and the rescue of Bolton Hall.

Sylmar • The J.B. Nethercutt Collection at San Sylmar. The collection of over 200 antique and Classic luxury automobiles. Largest collection of "mascots" (hood ornaments) many of Lalique crystal. Fouth floor "cloud 99" worlds's finest assemblage of mechanical music boxes and the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ. Louis XV style dinning room complete with crystal chandelier, 170 year old grandfather clock and a collection of musical pocket watches.

Torrance • Torrance Art Museum, encourages all people to develop and increase their understanding and appreciation for modern and contemporary artwork via a variety of exhibitions offered in its three gallery spaces, as well as educational programs, artist talks, lectures, and symposia.

UCLA • The Fowler Museum at UCLA, explores art and material culture primarily from Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and the Americas, past and present.

UCLA • Mildred Mathea's Botanical Garden at UCLA , seven-acre garden, the most important living botanical collections in the United States,with 5000 plant specimens from all over the world.

UCLA • Hannah Carter Japanese Garden. A quiet little get away, Koi pond, tea house, shrine. Main Gate with key stones and several bridges. There is a charge for parking but there is free parking on the street.

Universal City Universal Studios City Walk. Shops, restaurants, street performers and a lot more. There is a fee for parking but there is street parking at the bottom of the hill and a free shuttle up to city walk.

Van Nuys Anthony C. Beilenson Park an 80-acre water park with a 26-acre lake open to non-power boats, canoes, bring your own boat but NO motor, fishing must have a license, hiking and a special place for radio contorted boats and more. Pedal boats for rent and life guard service but NO swimming allowed.

Van Nuys • Japanese Garden. This authentic 6 1/2 acre Japanese Garden with dry zen Meditation and wet gardens.

Venice Beach • Venice Beach Boardwalk and the Venice Canals. Walking along the Ocean Front Walk, one will see a broad variety of artists, musicians, street performers, tarot card readers and 100's of venders selling their handy crafts.

Watts • Towers in Watts. The Watts Towers, these 8 steel rod towers are covered with bits of glass, pottery and shells were built by Simon Rodia an Italian immigrant over 30 year span. There is a museum filld with folk art and other exhibits.

North Hollywood • Great Wall of Los Angeles. This mural located in Valley Glen (formerly North Hollywood) on Coldwater Canyon between Oxnard and Burbank, it stretches for hundreds of yards in a flood control channel. Oddly, most people don't even know it's there. The most spectacular murals in Los Angeles. It portrays the history of California from pre-history to now.

West LA. • Italian Cultural Institute. Its duty is to promote Italian culture and recent artistic developments in all sectors: from film to theater, music to visual arts, literature to architecture and design, without forgetting fashion and cuisine.

West Hollywood MOCA Gallery at the Pacific Design Center. A rotating exhibits of architecture, design and photography.

Whittier • Pio Pico State Historic Park. Home of The Pio Pico Mansion, the last Mexican governor of California.

Will Rogers State Beach (on PCH) • Will Rogers State Beach extends one and three-quarters mile along mostly sandy shore. The beach features swimming, beginning surfing, swimming, picnicking, surf fishing and skin diving. Facilities include volleyball courts, playground and gymnastic equipment, restrooms, as well as a bike path and walkway. A lifeguard is on duty during daylight hours. A number of movies and TV shows have been filmed at this beach.
