We offer outstanding Cajun bands, mask making, bead tossing, a special Mardi Gras paraphernalia stand; we usually lay in a healthy supply of Dixie Beer and many of our shops, including the award-winning Gumbo Pot, offer great New Orleans style cuisine. New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band 11am-2pm, Strolling Lula Afro Brazil Samba De Roda 1-3pm Plaza, Mardi Gras Necklaces w/ Kids for Peace 1-4pm Plaza, Face Painting 1-4pm Plaza, T-Lou & His Super Hot Zydeco Band 2-4pm West Patio, The Reynolds Brothers 4-6pm Plaza, Lisa Haley & The Zydekats 5-8pm West Patio. 

Long Beach • Museum of Latin American Art. Sculpture Garden Celebrate African Heritage in Latin America through art, dance and music at MOLAA’s Annual Afro-Latino Festival! 12:00 – 4:00pm Vendors and face painting Art workshops: Carnaval masks and African instruments
2:00pm Docent Tours of the galleries. 

Long Beach • Rancho Los Cerritos. Tour the historic adobe house with "visitors from the Rancho's past" who step forward in time to conduct tours of the Rancho. Explore the Rancho through the eyes of previous owners, workers or guests as they share their personal stories and experiences.

Pasadena • Black History Month Parade and Film Festival.  

Yorba Linda • Richard M. Nixon Library. Free concerts are held Sundays, except when otherwise noted, and are open to the public. Doors open at 1:15 p.m., and concerts begin at 2:00 p.m. today The Roselle Trio: Cellist Dr. Charles Baker, violinist Joanne Ausmus Baker and pianist Dr. Charles Oh.
